Latino Independent Producers Provide Opportunities
The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) is a national membership organization that addresses the professional needs of Latino/Latina independent producers. NALIP is the first such effort aimed at Latino production in thirty years, and it is the first to last more than one year and to provide ongoing support for the Latino independent film and video makers.

The 2008 Conference will be NALIP’s ninth. SIN LIMITES: Trends in Pan-Latino Cinema will be held March 7 – 9, 2008 at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott in Dana Point, California.
The Conference will look at the remarkable growth in cross-boundary, cross-cultural creations that have developed in the Latino media landscape. The program will highlight case-studies and showcases of talent, while including workshops and seminars, keynotes and our 2008 Estela Awards.
This year’s conference co-chairs are producer Frida Torresblanco (PAN’S LABYRINTH) and playwright Elaine Romero (Secret Things). The Conference 9 website, with full program and registration information will be available online starting December 1, 2007.
