Apple has been my favored computer platform for more (decades) than I care to admit, as I plied my trade as a graphic designer and editor. Their move into mobile and consumer platforms has been an admirable creative expansion, and now there's talk that they are getting seriously into games. Yes, games are already on the iPhone and in the iStore... but there might be more to come. Here's an industry pundit's viewpoint:

Michael Pachter (financial analyst for the gaming industry) believes Apple will be a serious games contender, but don’t get too excited about an Apple games console (yet) – Pachter predicts that the quality of Apple's games won’t be as good as those from Nintendo, the definitive gaming leader.
