In the next 8 days, someone will submit a 30-second Obama ad that gets viewed by millions online, airs on national TV, and is seen by everyone from Matt Damon to Oliver Stone to Naomi Wolf. Oh, and that person will also win $20,000 in video editing equipment.

Think about the most creative and politically-interested person you know. It could be a writer, video editor, actor, musician, or just someone who always has interesting things to say about Obama. Folks have until April 1 to make an ad and submit it, so they should get started right away. The main requirement is to think of a new, creative, and inspirational way to convince people to vote for Obama. Contestants don't need to be professionals or know how to do video editing—there's a collaborators' forum where people can find others who have different skills.

If you don't have the perfect person in mind for this contest, we've designed a flyer advertising Obama in 30 Seconds that you can put up on public bulletin boards near you—in a coffee shop, library, or a community center.
