Internet Marketing is Budget-Wise for Indie Promotion and Sales
Many small film companies have little to work with budget-wise when it comes to marketing their films. That's where strategic online marketing comes in. Stretching budgets by utilizing the cost effective format of the Internet through banner and email marketing means a film can reach a wider audience for a much lower cost than many traditional forms of marketing.
An Los Angeles ad agency turned to MidTen Media to help with new film releases. The movies Fierce People and Wristcutters premiered in a single DMA and then opened to more DMA's once the films proved successful.
The method of choice for marketing these two films was an email campaign that sent out each film release's message to 2 Million permission-based solo email users profiled by MidTen Media to be the exact audience targeted for maximum attendance. While MidTen Media can't take all the credit for each film's success, it played an important role in getting the word out and at a fraction of the cost of many marketing options. Similar marketing plans are in place for this year's Horrorfest film.

Most banners are relatively small, but utilizing technology to make the banners expand into a much larger, yet unobtrusive ad on the site, generates a lot more traffic to the promoters website versus regular-sized banners.
