Artivist film festival and org to promote environmental and social film

Joaquin Phoenix, Daryl Hannah, Matthew McConaughey and International Films will be honored at this year’s Artivist Film Festival & Awards. "ARTIVIST” is the 1st international Film Festival dedicated to addressing Human Rights, Children's Advocacy, Environmental Preservation, and Animal Rights. Its mission is to strengthen the voice of international activist artists - "Artivists" - while raising public awareness for social global causes.

In the past 2 years, the Annual Artivist Film Festival has screened 159 international activist Films from 34 countries. The “Artivist Awards” honors the winning Films of the Annual Artivist Film Festival and the work of outstanding activist celebrities. Past honorees include: James Cromwell, Mira Sorvino, Ed Begley Jr., Tippi Hedren, Mike Farrell, and France Nuyen.
